Rouge, Mumbai

Rouge, an informal lounge cum bar with a club atmosphere, has recently opened in Malad, Mumbai. Featuring an exclusive range of cocktails and a variety of appetisers from around the world, as well as an in-house DJ, Rouge offers a comfortable setting to unwind. The bar is open seven days a week from 7.30 pm to 1.30 am.

Pot Pourri, Mumbai

All-day bistro and patisserie, Pot Pourri has opened at InOrbit Mall in Malad. Specialising in artisan breads and home style savouries, Pot Pourri offers a range of continental food, grills, pizzas, pastas, sizzlers and European desserts. In addition the new outlet also features a well-equipped bar. Pot Pourri - Malad is the first in the expansion chart, soon to be followed by Vashi, Pune, and Hyderabad in the next six months.

DIO's, Mumbai

Located at Tardeo, DIO's, a theme banquet lounge features interiors which are a fusion of shades of gold, lime green, fuchsia pink and chocolate brown with French windows and an open - air terrace with soft lighting and a dance floor. DIO's includes a bar counter on one side of the open terrace, and a lavish buffet counter, open for Sunday brunch, on the other side. Cuisine includes a Mezze Platter, live cooking stations and a range of Jain and vegetarian options. The lounge is ideal for formal gatherings, product launches or private parties.

The Bowl House, Pune

The Bowl House restaurant located in Pune Central carries a unique concept of presentation whereby all the dishes are served in different shaped bowls. The Bowl House offers a fusion concept wherein a guest has the opportunity to fuse their meals by means of the 'Create your own Bowl' concept with a selection ranging from Chinese and Thai to Mexican and Indian. Besides the main courses, the Bowl House also has a range of appetizers, salads, soups, and combo meals.

The Bowl House is slated to come up with two more outlets called The Bowl House Express in the coming month and later expand to outlets all over India.

INTERNATIONAL

Westin Hotels & Resorts, Australia

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is to open a new-build Westin hotel and residences in Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia. The 306-room Westin Brisbane Empire Square will offer a prime location on Elizabeth Street, overlooking South Bank on one side, and the city and ocean on the other. The hotel's guest rooms will offer updated technology, flat-screen televisions, work area and the signature Westin Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath. Other facilities include The Heavenly Spa, fitness facility, indoor pool, as well as 8,000 square feet of meeting space. Dining options include three restaurants and bars. The new Westin hotel will share a 66-story tower with The Residences at The Westin Brisbane Empire Square. Both the hotel and residences are scheduled to open in early 2012.

Mandarin Oriental, Boston

Located in Boston's Back Bay, a new Mandarin Oriental hotel is set to open in October. The hotel will comprise 148 guestrooms, including 12 spacious suites, as well as a presidential suite. Each room will feature granite bathrooms with soaking tubs and showers, as well as the latest in-room entertainment technology, with wireless internet access.

Dining options will include refined American cuisine and authentic Asian dishes at the all-day dining restaurant, which also features a private Chef's table and a glass-encased wine room. Other facilities include a spa, of function space, a Oriental Ballroom as well as three smaller function rooms, all equipped with Mandarin Oriental's signature technology systems, ample private pre-function areas and a kitchen.
