Export house Jensons enters domestic market
In talks with international cos for imports; looks
for dealers in metros
Sanjeev Bhar - New Delhi
After serving the export market for over 30 years in F&B service equipment,
Jensons International is targeting the domestic front. Rahul Jain, partner in
the company, said, "Considering the number of new hotels coming up, there
will be an evident increase in the demand for F&B service equipment. We
felt it is the most opportune time to bring our expertise in the stainless steel
range of products into the domestic kitchen and food service equipment market
through our brand Demonte."
The company has been into manufacturing and exporting the products to various
nations across the world. Now it is also importing high-end products like chaffing
dish, dispensers, anti-jamming gastronomy pans and covers, and display counters
exclusively for the Indian market. "We are only six months old in the domestic
market. At present, the focus on export is higher than catering to the domestic
market but in two years, we aim to bring our sales for both international and
domestic market at par with each other," Jain said. It is targeting all
institutional canteens, restaurant and hotel segments.
Jensons is also in talks with some international companies to include some quality
products for the Indian market. "We are in talks with some Korean and Australian
firms for import of products, which will be exclusively marketed by us here.
At present, we bring products from China like the UK-based company Sunnex, which
is headquartered in Hong Kong but manufactured in China," he informed.
The Indian government-recognised, ISO 9001:2000 certified export house is now
on the lookout for a strong dealer network with presence in major metros, preferably
on exclusivity contract. Jensons International is also looking to tap high-end
skin clinics and parlours for its range of imported towel dispensing machines.
