Aslam Gafoor Director, Hotel Dynamics

Hotel Dynamics, an RCI company and a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation recently announced the appointment of Aslam Gafoor as the Director, Hotel Dynamics, Asia and India. He was earlier general manager - special projects with RCI and was responsible for introducing and building the Hotel Dynamics business in India. He joined RCI in 1994 as the Resort affiliations manager and was subsequently promoted to become the general manager-affiliations. His other appointments also included general manager-operations, which involved running the call centre in India, responsible for more than 45,000 RCI members. In late 2000, he took on the role of general manager-special projects with an emphasis on the member marketing program and establishing an internet strategy for RCI India. More recently, Aslam was responsible for introducing and building the Hotel Dynamics business in India. Hotel Dynamics successfully introduced five loyalty programmes, which included premium hotel properties in India- a reflection of Aslam's successful leadership. In his new role, Aslam will be responsible for managing the Hotel Dynamics operations across Asia with a goal to ensure that more mileage will be obtained through the existing programs, servicing clients across the diverse geography and building and coaching a high-performance team.

Krishna Kumar Menon General Manager, Green Park, Chennai

Krishna Kumar Menon has been appointed as general manager, Green Park, Chennai. Prior to joining Green Park, Krishna Kumar was the general manager of the Atria Hotel, Bangalore. He will manage the 172-room plush business hotel, which is part of the Green Park Group of Hotels - which also operates business class hotels in Hyderabad & Vizag. A hotel management diploma holder from Institute of Hotel Management - Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Hyderabad - he started his career with Taj Coromandel, Chennai and subsequently worked with Taj Residency, Vishakapatnam, Windsor Park Hotel, Chennai and Hotel Aadithya, Chennai.

Sunil Mathur head development - hotel division, India & Middle East, Cendant Corporation

Sunil Mathur has taken over as head development - hotel division, India & Middle East, Cendant Corporation recently. He was chief operating officer of Choice Hotels India. Cendant is currently looking at increasing its presence in India with all or some of its brands and Mathur will be heading the strategy. Cendant is one of the world's largest hotel franchise systems with well-known names like Ramada, Travelodge, Days, Howard Johnson etc in its portfolio.
