HSMC promoting Deckelmann products in India

Deckelmann Wellness, a leading spa and wellness service company, is all set
to tap the Indian leisure and spa market through Hospitality Sales and Marketing
Company (HSMC). "We are selling a concept and thereby we are aggressively
promoting Deckelmann's products in India. Our objective is to position these
products in the Indian hospitality industry. As of now, there are no revenue
goals set. It is going to be a long ongoing process as the hotels should be
ready for refurbishment and investing money," says Anil Malhotra, director,
HSMC.
Deckelmann Wellness services spas and leisure complexes of all types and sizes
throughout the world and its clients include hotels, resorts, private golf and
country clubs, corporate spas, health centres and community recreation clubhouses.
The company whose ideology is - the spa is purification of not only body but
also soul, does not talk only of gizmos doing a trick, but they also believe
in adapting their ideology into local scenario and local mindset.
Speaking about the target segment in India for these products, Malhotra said,
"We are selling this idea to hotel chains, real estate developers who are
talking about one time spa apart from shopping malls who want to develop a commercial
complex into a spa. We do not have a signed contract as of now with any of the
hotels, but we are in talks with hotel chains in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai,
Delhi and Maldives who are in the process of decision making."
Under this tie up, Deckelmann Wellness will be providing an
ideal mix of hardware and software solutions in India along with bringing in
specialists on an 18-month contract to train Indian employees of the hotels.
"The company has an intuitive understanding and creative ability to develop
projects from conception to design, through to installation and start-up, into
fully successful facilities. Each and every spa is custom built by the company,
therefore the price range of the products is high," explains Malhotra.
HSMC will be acting as the marketing arm for Deckelmann Wellness. Because of
its proximity with hotels in India, it will be educating the buyers.
