HCIMA Annual Conference Poised For Debut In Indian Sub-continent

For the first time the Hotel and Catering International Management Association (HCIMA) is to host its annual conference in the Indian sub-continent. The HCIMA International Conference 2005 will be held in Sri Lanka from October 4-6, 2005, with the Express Hotelier & Caterer as its strategic media partner.

The conference will be staged at one of Asia's leading conference and exhibition centre - the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo. The event will focus on 'Trends and Challenges in Hospitality Management' and will be attended by 600 people from 16 countries.

Twenty-four international speakers and panelists will travel to Sri Lanka from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Far East, Australia, North America and the Caribbean to address the delegates on the following sub-themes:

• Special Interest Tourism and Niche Markets
• Challenges in the Hospitality Business
• Best International Practices In the Hospitality Industry
• The Role of Aviation in Tourism
