Amrit Food Launches Ice-cream Mix

Company Targets Large Institutional Buyers With Their Ice Cream Mix

The USP of this mix is its versatility where it can be used for making both hard as well as soft ice cream.
The mix is available in aseptic pouch packaging and has a shelf life of three months, making it convenient to be bought and stored in bulk

Amrit Food, a division of 600-crore Amrit Banaspati Co Ltd has just launched their ready-to-use liquid ice cream mix. The company is among the first players to introduce a branded ice cream mix for the Indian market.

The USP of this mix is its versatility, where it can be used for making both hard as well as soft ice cream. The mix is available in aseptic pouch packaging and has a shelf life of three months, making it convenient to be bought in bulk and stored. Says Ashwini Bajaj, managing director of Amrit Banaspati Co Ltd, "We saw a huge opportunity for a high quality Ice cream Mix in the market. Our ultra-modern plant and our excellent track record as suppliers of ice cream mix to leading food chains puts us on a very strong footing in this market. Amrit Ice-cream mix is ready to use. There is absolutely no need to add water or milk. Only flavours of choice may be added as desired."

This Ice-cream Mix is being targeted at large institutional buyers as well as small players in the 600-crore unorganised ice cream market who would save on manufacturing and procurement costs. It will also provide an opportunity for small retailers to set up softy machines.

The company claims that Amrit Food's ice cream mix is manufactured through the UHT process making it completely bacteria free. Adhering to PFA standards, Amrit Food's Ice Cream Mix is manufactured at their state-of-art UHT plant in Ghaziabad. It is the only plant to use the advanced technology of heating milk to a high degree through direct steam infusion. Owing to a shorter heating time, the milk heated by this process does not lose its nutrients and retains its taste. The UHT process removes all bacteria from the milk, thereby extending its shelf life.
