Scene & Heard

Keeping Score

It was not a case of re-launch or re-invention. It was just a party to popularise the place. It was an awareness exercise at Score, the sports bar next to Tendulkar's. Sanjay Narang was there, greeting all the guests, and introducing them or welcoming them once again to the cheerful bar filled with sports memorabilia and TV screens beaming sporting action. The DJ tracks were not the only music you heard, there was also singers Nicky and Nicci, who call themselves Iskara, in action, getting the crowd in the groove. The duo performs every Thursday and Saturday night at Score. Guests spotted at the party included Mandira Bedi and Tom Alter.

Over The Table

Chef's table and the JW Marriott go together. The latest such chef's table was hosted by Italian chef Chef Sabastiano at Mezzo Mezzo. It was an elaborate four-course Italian meal complemented with fine wines. Those who missed out were the guests who did not turn up, like Urmila Matondkar, Sonali Bendre, Goldie Behl, Amrita Arora, Koena Mitra and Rocky S. Those who made it included Manisha Koirala, Puru Rajkumar, Kim Sharma, Preeti Jhangiani, Maria Goretti, Mini Mathur and Aseem Merchant. Singer Anaida as well.

Cut Above

It was daddy's day out at Out Of The Blue as the eatery celebrated Father's Day. A few lucky men were thrilled to get a free 'new shiny crystal monsoon collection' haircut from Franck Provost that Sunday afternoon. There was also a lucky draw where the fathers won gift packages from Franck Provost worth Rs 5,500. This was inclusive of a special facial to clean and purify the skin, followed by a massage to relax muscles, along with a manicure and pedicure. Guests listened to live music and enjoyed soups, salads, main course and the host of desserts on offer.
