The media have made much of the career expectations of the so-called
Generation X, people born in the late '60s and early '70s who are
now in their late 20s and 30s. Unlike baby boomers, the story goes,
Gen Xers are not loyal to employers. That appears to be an unfair
stereotype, based on a study from the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.
