Trade Show Will See Over 200 Exhibitors Besides Business Sessions, Competitions And Seminars

Come February 24 and all eyes of Indian hospitality will be turned towards Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The largest business to business (B2B) event ever witnessed by South Asia’s hospitality industry so far will kick off on the given date, courtesy Express Hotelier & Caterer, India’s No. 1 Hospitality Weekly.

Titled HospitalityWorld 2005 -The India International Hospitality Forum, the trade show is being held from February 24 to 27, 2005 and features over 200 domestic and international exhibitors. They will be part of the finest gathering of the industry’s most prestigious companies, institutions and professionals.

Spread across over 2,000 square metres and playing host to the best in the industry in terms of products, equipment and services, the first of its kind hospitality forum will also feature chef and bartending competitions, corporate presentations, seminars, product launches and the finest deals from the industry’s biggest names.

Pradeep Gopalan, chief manager - hospitality and travel group, Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd, asserts, “HospitalityWorld 2005 is going to be the biggest event till date held in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Maldives). There are over 200 companies, the largest number so far in a hospitality B2B event, segregated into three comprehensive integrated theme pavilions namely ‘Design Scape’, ‘Food & Beverage’ and ‘Energy Zone’.

“Making the event more interactive and exciting for the exhibitors and visitors alike, will be the chef and bartending competitions christened ‘The Great Indian Culinary Challenge’ and ‘STIR 2005’ respectively. And to top it all, the event is supported by various trade associations viz Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India, Hotel Association of India, Association - Hotel & Restaurant, Indian Federation of Culinary Associations, South India Culinary Association, Western India Culinary Association, National Association of Bakery Industry, Hotels & Restaurants Association of Western India. These are some of the aspects that will make Hospitalityworld truly unique.”

The visitor profile for HospitalityWorld 2005 comprises corporates, professionals, hotels and motels, individual entrepreneurs, resorts, general managers, restaurants, purchase managers, amusement parks, executive housekeepers, flight kitchens, executive chefs and F&B managers, bakeries, engineering and security personnel, industrial canteens, architects and interior designers, speciality caterers, project consultants and family entertainment centres.
