VIHTM, Rajkot Holds Bakery & Confectionery Exhibition

Vivekanand Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management (VIHTM), Rajkot, Gujarat, recently organised the state's first bakery and confectionery exhibition. Held at The Grand Regency in Rajkot, more than 25 different varieties of bakery products including a variety of international breads were on display at the function.

Said Dr Kavita B Sood, principal and director of VIHTM, "The Italian bread in particular was very much appreciated by the exhibition visitors. The star attraction however, was the four-tier cake with four different flavors. Organised under the guidance of VIHTM's full-time director Mohit Mohnani, a lot of hardwork was put in by the students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the institute who ensured that the exhibition was a success."

The event was well-attended by eminent personalities including Rajkot police commissioner Sanjay Shrivastava and National Cadet Corps colonel A K Gairola. Adding to the glamour of the show was Sweta Keshwani, a leading television actress. The distinguished guests also suggested organising similar events in future on a grand scale. A premier ISO approved institute, VIHTM is affiliated to the Saurashtra University and approved by the Government of India. The institute provides degree and diploma courses related to hotel management.
