Months of preparation by CII's northern region set up for a conference on ‘Tourism North India - Strategising for Growth’ in Delhi in the middle of December brought together a fair number of experts, industry leaders, even union tourism minister Jagmohan and joint secretary Amitabh Kant, as well as the managing director of Tourism Finance Corporation of India (TFCI) M Narayanan. Four state governments – Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttaranchal and Delhi – had shown keenness to participate.
