BCIHMCT To Hold Chef Competition In October

Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BCIHMCT) will hold its annual event namely Chandiwala Young Star Chef Competition and Chandiwala Hospitality Brain Twister from October 8 - 10, 2003.

Speaking about the event, Lubna Naqvi, in-charge (media relations), BCIHMCT, said, “Last year’s events saw participation from 30 teams from all parts of the country. This year the number is expected to touch 50 which is encouragement enough for us to continue with the event. This year’s events are going to be even bigger and better.”

Mouth-watering delicacies, exotic kebabs, delectable desserts are a few things that one can expect at the events. The institute is inviting all wannabe chefs to demonstrate their skills and win fabulous awards. Chandiwala Young Star Chef Competition is divided into four categories viz Indian cuisine, Bakery and desserts, kitchen planning and three course menu.

Who is the father of the fast food industry? What does the word pizza mean? These could be a few questions put across to the participants in the Chandiwala Hospitality Brain Twister on the 9th of October 2003.

The event is well-supported by various hospitality product and equipment companies apart from hospitality organisations including Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India (FHRAI), Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) and Hotel and Restaurants Equipment Manufacturers’ Association of India (HOTREMAI).
