Blue Foods To Spread Its Colour Nationwide
Bombay Blue, Noodle Bar, Copper Chimney And Cream Centre To Be Chain Restaurants

Reema Sisodia - Mumbai

Blue Foods Pvt Ltd (BFPL), a joint venture between the owners of the Copper Chimney and Cream Centre, has decided to market the two brands under the new banner rather than stand-alone units. Apart from Copper Chimney and Cream Centre, the company has two other brands under its fold being Bombay Blue and Noodle Bar.

Promoting the entities as a chain of restaurants in the Indian market is what the company aims to undertake. Following the plans, the first step in this direction was recently taken, where Mumbai city received an additional Cream Centre outlet in the suburbs that opened doors to the clients in the first week of December. Concrete plans are on to promote the product in other pockets in the city and also expanding its fold in other cities and towns of India.

Speaking about the market potential and expansion plans of the chain and its brand, Sunil Kapur, executive director, Blue Foods Pvt Ltd, said, “Each product that falls under the company name has a unique character to it.

Distinct in its style and offer, we aim to promote the two new additions and a chain of restaurants both in Mumbai and the other cities of India. Studying and analysing the marketing trends and temperaments, we have concluded that Cream Centre though a vegetarian brand has a definite market and demand.

“Along with that, promoting our other brands such as Bombay Blue and Noodle Bar are also part of our serious expansion plans. In terms of investments each property differs as per the property and infrastructure planning.

But on an average Rs 3,000 per sq ft is what a property may cost as per the current market nature.”

Cream Centre would be maintained as a vegetarian brand across all other outlets and destinations such as Pune, Bangalore and New Delhi are part of the following expansion plans.
